The leader adjusts the sails.” In order to scale the heights and reach the pinnacle of success, Edify World School, Firozabad, always strives to inculcate a sense of responsibility and commitment among the students with their heads held high, ready to shoulder responsibilities as leaders. With the beginning of the new academic session for the year 2019-2020, an investiture ceremony was organized on the 20th of July 2019.
A spirit of unity and dynamism filled the air as the Grand Ceremony commenced with the Lighting of the auspicious Lamp of Knowledge followed by the soulful rendition of the School Prayer. The Investiture Ceremony is a solemn occasion wherein all the young students are well prepared to don the mantle of leadership and responsibility while carrying it out with utmost dedication. Initially, the candidates had prepared and presented strong speeches in front of all the students and teachers in order to qualify for the Elections.
A democratic voting procedure was set in pace which ultimately formed the school student council of the year 2018-19. The newly elected student council members pledged to work earnestly and uphold the honor and glory of the institution while receiving their prestigious badges and sash from the Chief Guest Ms. Indu Prabha Singh, the CO City, Firozabad. The School Captains (Senior and Junior), Vice Captains (Senior and Junior), Sports Captains and House Captains stood tall while holding the flags of EWS as destiny prepared itself to bring in many more laurels to the institution.
It was a proud moment for all the parents to witness their children being invested with great responsibilities while embarking on a new journey as leaders. The Chief Guest gave a speech to the children regarding her past experiences in life and explained to them how her school helped her in shaping her future and turn out to be a leader. She encouraged students to always walk on the correct path and be the change. The Principal Ms. Shalini Edward motivated the children to keep moving forward despite all the obstacles and challenges that life throws in front of us. She said that being a leader is a vital role and that the new Student Council would have ample responsibilities to shoulder. With the flags held high and heads standing tall, the ceremony concluded with the National Anthem. The members of the school Management Committee graced the occasion with their presence.
